Students involved in theater often get better grades and are more likely to go to college
Theater programs can also help students score higher on standardized tests.
Theater students learn to understand scripts and themes.
They also develop teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
These skills are valuable to their future careers.
Unfortunately, budget cuts in schools have made it hard for theater programs to survive.
To help, BLG started a program to support theater education
When I was a child, I was involved in the Boy Scouts.
I pitched (put up] tents with my friends and teachers and searched unknown places.
One of the best experiences of my childhood was going to North Korea.
At that time, South and North Korea had some agreement to open their borders to citizens of the other country.
I had a school trip to Geumgang Mountain, which is in North Gangwondo province. At the time, I took a bus with my Boy Scout friends.
I saw North Korea soldiers--they looked so scary I was so scared].
They were so small- they looked like they were only 13 or 15 years old.
it was the best experience of my childhood, especially because I dont think I will be able to go there ever again.
