For three years, we’ve lived in different cities.

This article said that a former FBI negotiator emphasizes the importance of forensic listening, which involves understanding both spoken and unspoken messages to gain advantage in meetings and negotiations and interviews. The key components include interpreting body language to uncover true thoughts and feelings as well tone to identify emotional states. This skill, in observing his or her gestures, body movements and voice patterns helps in making informed decisions and improving interactions with partners.

Last week I had a meeting with clients, and this meeting was for explaining our project. My client wanted to know about how this project would proceed. But actually, we had a problem with this project, so I had to announce this problem to my client, but I was nervous. So, my voice tone wasn’t good—it was not stable (unstable), so I thought that my clients could know how I felt. And my eyes also were uncertain. My client understood me though. He was such a nice guy. (He was so nice.)

If I taught this skill to my new employee, I would explain non-verbal cues….. I would also try to encourage observation (being observant).
