I prefer to talk more straightforwardly (in a more straightforward way). I’m not comfortable being indirect.
When I hear a good story from my boss, I can get motivation (be motivated), and it can make me a more effective employee. Being motivated makes me a more effective employee.
If you make your message simpler and clearer, customers can remember it more easily. So, it’s a good way to encourage customers to buy your product.
Straightforward stories are good because they usually don’t cause confusion.
I’m not a good storyteller, so I like to focus on the facts of the story. I think that it’s good for my colleagues. If I have a problem with my project, I should inform my colleagues of this. If I tell them indirectly, they might not understand what I said (meant). This is why I prefer to explain things more straightforwardly.
I think storytelling can be powerful in business. I once saw some meetings between my customers and my boss. My boss explained to them why they should choose our company using storytelling. The customers really responded well to that.
Humans are primarily emotional beings. Sometimes we need inspiration. One of the ways to inspire people is by storytelling (by telling a story). Stories can effectively inspire people and motivate them to achieve a goal.
