Marginal Distributions

joint pmf에서 특정 변수에 대해서만 보고 싶다면 위와 같이 표현할 수 있다.
즉 내가 보고자 하는 랜덤변수 외에는 전부 나올 가능성이 있다고 고려하고 계산한다.

바로 직전 예제와 비교해보면, marginal 값은 동일하다. 

하지만 joint distribution은 서로 다른 분포를 보이고 있다. 

그래서 사실 joint distribution이 marginal보다 더 많은 정보를 가지고 있다고 볼 수 있다.
